Precautions:

Lithium-ion batteries are amongst the most common batteries used today. Although li-ion batteries are generally safe to use, if used incorrectly, they can cause damage or injuries. To prevent this from occurring please take the following safety precautions when using the LumaDent Li-Ion Battery Pack:

• Do not charge the battery overnight/unattended. As a general guideline we recommend charging batteries during your lunch break. Charging the battery for only 1 hour will give you up to 5 hours of use.

• Do not drop, immerse battery in liquids or store near a hot area as this may cause the battery to rupture.

• Please, only use a LumaDent specified charger when charging the battery, use of a non specified charger can affect battery longevity

• If the battery acts abnormally, contact us right away.

Loupe Adjustment Manual

You may need to make some minor adjustment to your loupes for the perfect fit. Please give us a call if you need any help.

Fine-Tuning Loupe Nose Pads:

Every nose is different. That's why we designed our loupes with adjustable nose pads. By bending the nose pads in/out, the overall weight of the frame can be distributed evenly, providing great comfort. Also, the nose pads can be twisted in and out for further comfort. Widening the nosepads will sit the loupes lower on your nose and reduce the angle declination for your neck. Tightening the nosepads will have the opposite effect.

Modifying Loupe Temple Arms:

Our loupes are designed with flexible temple arms. This allows any user to properly fit our loupes onto their head.  Adjusting the temple arms limits the movement of the loupe as it prevents them from sliding down the face. If properly fitted, a head strap is not needed.

Straightening Loupe Temple Arms:

Our loupes are pre-adjusted with straight temple arms. Therefore, we highly recommend adjusting them to fit properly. If not, the loupe may slide down your nose during procedures. Any optician will do this for you (generally free of charge). Alternatively give us a call and we can talk you through it.,

Cleaning your Loupes:

Procedure to Clean Frame & Lenses
1) Remove excessive debris from loupe using compressed air or air/water syringe.
2) Moisten a cotton swab in alcohol (isopropyl alcohol 70%)
3) Gently wipe the loupe to remove losse debris.
4) Dry the loupe using the prvided cleaning cloth or any lens cleaning cloth.

Procedure to Clean the Barrels/Oculars
Use a lightly moistened alcohol wipe to wipe down the ocular of any debris.

Do NOT immerse or soak loupes in any liquids

b) Thighs parallel (or above) to the floor
c) Arms at about 90 degree angle
d) Elbows close to the body
e) Head slightly tilted down

Whilst maintaining this position, ask a friend to measure from the bridge of your nose to the tips of the patient lower incisors or tips of your thumbs.

Alternatively you can hold a measuring tape with one hand to the bridge of your nose and lower until in optimum posture and mark the reading.
